Nicola has worked in school settings for the past 15 years teaching music, at first, then Special Educational Needs with a focus on autism. Having studied music he ended up combining teaching with listening therapies. His background includes a master's degree in Music Education, a master's degree in Saxophone, and a diploma in Violin making from the International school of violin making of Cremona. In his last position, he has planned and led a pilot project across 2 primary schools in London combining Tomatis® Method with a sensory-motor development program with significant results. He has also designed and conducted several trainings on auditory processing disorders, listening therapies and motor-sensory integration for teachers and parents. Teaching taught him that every child is unique and tailoring activities on individual needs can greatly boost learning. He now employs these strengths in delivering group and individual sessions of Tomatis® listening method together with a sensory-motor programme aimed at making sure that basic physical development milestones are in place before learning can happen. Thierry Gaujarengues is the Chief Executive Officer and a shareholder of Tomatis Développement S.A., Luxembourg (TDSA). After receiving a Masters's Degree in Business Administration in 1988, Thierry worked closely with Christian Tomatis (Alfred Tomatis’ son), he was in charge of the International Network and its development. In 2000, he co-founded Tomatis Développement S.A. based in Luxembourg which became the sole owner of the Tomatis® Method.
